Congrats! It'll be interesting to see if there are any differences in ownership between the Yaris and Prius c. In theory, there shouldn't in terms of the hybrid setup but you know how it goes - European vs. North American tuning.

The engine bay does look a little more "compressed" in the Yaris Hybrid.

I thought you might be. These are completely different. There are no analogue-style dials in a c. There's a digitial high-level dash cluster instead. It sits between the driver and the centre of the dash.

when you look at the auris hybrid thats also analog
i geuss they just stayed with the prius theme and used that 80' green digital gauges and added a little to it with the full color info screen in the prius c.

As best I can tell, the Prius c dash is the same everywhere. In RHD countries the layout is reversed, so (for example) the speedo remains closest to the driver. The HSI always curves up and to the right. The multi function display on early Aqua models in Japan is simpler and isn't multi-coloured, but that's about it.

the Eu models followed ( beside the prius line with the prius and prius + or V as you know it ) more the lexus style intrument cluster.
i kinda like the power meter ( or HSI ) but its analog also the bleu color i like a lot
i did need to get used to no longer having the speed up on the dash and that part i would like to have again
now i have to look down again and i feel/understand the risk ( 1 sec looking down can be a accident ) and benefit of having a speed indicator up on the dash like with the prius range.

It's funny, motoring journalists deride the high dash digital speedo (as do their blind followers), but once you've had one, going back to a dial speedo behind the steering wheel feels awful. I agree - you can keenly feel how much more time your eyes spend away from the road, completely unnecessarily. Up high, near your line of sight is right where it should be.

+1 - When I drive my old Prizm or my wife's Fit - the speed dial looks "wrong". The steering wheel blocks off part of the view and it no longer feels natural.
    YMMV
