    Any possibility here for a group buy?

    I would not mind another little Salsa or two... of any scale.

    I wouldn't mind getting in on the group buy for the bigger one (1/30th?). I have the little ones already. :)

    Dave, Bob;
    I was referring to the full-scale Prius setting in my driveway. Of course I would love a smaller model. And I look for one every time I see scale models of cars.

    BTW, I was in Sharper Image or Brookstone or some store like that yesterday and saw that they have the remote controlled Hummer. While I was staring at it, a customer service vulture swooped in and started talking about how much fun they are. I looked at him all serious like and asked why they don't carry the RC Prius. (I made it sound as though there is such a thing just to play with him and see what he would say) He just stammered and said that they didn't have it. Of course they don't have one; they're just not "cool". Oh well.

    the 1/30th size models are officially licensed Toyota products. if there is enough clamouring for them, maybe they will bring out some more. but as i understand it, they were a limited run released only in japan. (mine is a right hand drive)

    The ones that have started out at $9.00 have moved above $50 in a few bids... the first one sold for $117.50 + $40 in shipping... way out of my league... I'll wait for the new-ness to wear out... there is a TideLand that just came out.. $50, Buy It Now... I think it's $35 at ToyEast...

    just thought that some collectors (the rich ones) might want to know...

    These are from China by way of Japan..or the other way... I don't there is an MSRP.. we are SO spoiled... and there is one guy on eBay who has run all the prices over $50.00.. he has run all low bids and has paid $117.00... guess he has deeper pockets than I do.

    If you go to ToysEast, I think you'll find a TideLand for $35.00

    Too bad they weren't 1/87 scale. Then they would work perfectly on an HO layout. Would be close for O scale though.
