Prius Exhaust Mods?

If you remove the resonator, the exhaust may sound raspy. Hard to tell, I ran the car open header, sounded like crap obviously. Ran the car with the DC header and (2) 7" mufflers and was too loud. Ran the car with (2) 4" mufflers as resonators and (2) 7" mufflers setup in a dual loop and it was too quite. Ran it again with the setup i have now, DC headers, and (4) 4" mufflers and it sounds great! (2) 4" as the resonator and (2) 4" mufflers setup as a dual loop muffler.

 

Spoke to the shop again. They plan on doing one 4" muffler as a resonator and a 7" muffler at the end for under $300. Said they worked on Prius before but knew nothing about disconnecting the battery before welding. Should I request they do so or take the risk?

 

Better safe than sorry, I'd disconnect the battery before welding.

You gonna be back to autocross this year? Trying to get some parts together myself so I can get back on course.

I'm just looking to do the same going to do exhaust n much more if I was to get 40 mpg after everything I do I'll still be getting just as much as any 4 banger out there.....
