    Hello,

So unfortunately, I got into an accident and damaged my 2010 Prius after hitting a truck. Fortunately everyone was okay and really only damage was my car.

Anyway, the car can still run fine but the exterior is damaged with the interior structure compromised. I'm trying to figure out the best way to repair this car while reducing costs. I can already guess this will cost $2000 (the very least) if I find a repair shop to fix it for me.

Does anyone have any advice on the best way to handle this kind of situation? Also, just for fun and curiosity sake, I'm wondering how difficult would it be if I tried to repair this car myself (if I go to the junkyard and find a similar Prius Gen 3 and transplant some parts from that car to my car) though I can imagine it would be extremely difficult for a beginner.

Video of me inspecting the damage done on the Prius (apologize in advance for recording vertically):

    Thanks in advance!

Hey guys, sorry for the late response.

As requested, here are the pictures of the damage (and yes, I made sure to take the pictures while in horizontal mode :p)

    Thanks again.

If there is an insurance company paying, I’d bet they total it. That glass forward of the door is broken. That says the front unibody is damaged. The labor to make that right would likely exceed the value of the car.
