Prius in Neutral

    Here's a question I don't think I've seen in any of the forums. Does putting your car in neutral when going down a hill hurt the car in any way and if it is okay - will that help me get better gas milage.

    Its fine won't hurt anything. If your doing this to increase your mpg you need to be in warp neutral first then shift into N. Glide down the hill, I don't shift back into D until my speed has dropped below 40 mph, actually I usually don't go back into D until around 20 if noone is around.

    Neutral is the one reason I hate to give my car up to full service car washes.

    Put it in N and it goes triangle before it gets out of the wash tunnel and the wash guys have no clue what to do or how to act.
