    Hello,

I'm having a really bad engine or transaxle noise coming from the front of the car. It sounds like a rattle or groan and its not always constant. The engine will be running and then the rattle sound will appear and disappear. It sounds like something is about to break. Its very loud and definitively not normal. Does anybody have any thoughts about this? Any help is appreciated.

You can hear it better at the 18 second mark.

That's pretty normal. The g2 makes so many different noises. When the engine is first started it goes through a few stages of warm up each having there own sound.

Just make sure you keep the engine oil at the full line on the dipstick. And good circulation of the inverter coolant.

You will know if anything is broken it will log a diagnostic code on the dash. Check engine light or red triangle of death. For instance when the hybrid battery dies it will launch the RTOD and also put a little car icon on the mfd screen.
