I agree the Mazda MPV was a great mini-van. I was very sorry to see the Mazda 5 replace it. Also am very dissapointed to see Chrysler cut out the short wheel base Caravan. I guess nobody knows how to make a basic just right size mini-van.

That was a great minivan, I had a 1990 it was a beefy vehicle. I had the rear wheel drive version. Had it for 5 yrs but one day we were driving home from NJ to NY and I heard a pop! The Planetary gear in the transmission exploded. I fixed the tranny for two grand and sold the van three yrs later, it had 86,000 mi. Can't complain it was a very well built minivan- A lot tougher than most minivans on the road at that time.

No, F/awd as in the Venza, 2010 RX350 and the Current Sienna.

    No rear electrics.

The HL is likely to soon get the more functional F/awd also.

Personally I'm holding out for a Venza/h. Same F/awd system, same I4 but with DFI.

Or maybe the Prius I4 but with DFI and a CVT driven positive displacement SuperCharger...NO throttle plate.
