I know I would get slightly better mileage with the Prius but the Camry Hybrid LE is not bad at all. So I am torn as to which one to get. Surely the Camry would ride better and would be more quiet. Maybe even more comfortable. What are your thoughts between the two?

If I already had it narrowed down to those two, I'd take the Camry in a heartbeat. I just like 'em better.

Last time I looked there was a fair price difference though.

For me, the hatchback makes the difference. So the Prius would be my choice. For a hybrid sedan, I would definitely cross shop the Accord and Camry.

we love my wife hycam. 50 mpg, how can you go wrong. for my daily around town, i prefer the smaller prius.

but on road trips, it's always the hycam. smooth, quiet, powerful, comfortable, with a very roomy trunk and back seat

I love a hatchback, far more practical for my needs. But the back seat on Camry is bigger. It's too wide for my garage though. And, uses a bit more fuel - official figures (here) are 3.4l/100 vs 4.5 l/100. Real world - both will be proportionally higher.

BUT - Camry is a bit more comfortable, if I was doing long distances, I'd go Camry - but round town, PRIUS is fine.

Get a price on both, drive them both - flip a coin and take one home.

Current Camry has Apple Car Play, if that matters. Not sure about the current Prius...

I test drove a camry xle hybrid - it was a 2019. Really nice vehicle but very expensive. Honestly, the accord hybrid is nicer both outside and inside. Mileage isn't as great as the LE cam hybrid, but closer to xle.

The Prius beats all as far as hybrids. Get the further practicality of the hatchback design.

Unless Camry comes in a hatchback style, I will take PRIUS. I just can't go back to a sedan with trunk anymore.

I would be surprised if they put that model into the mix alongside a Prius. I suspect it would be one or the other.

Maybe, maybe not. Toyota does strange marketing. Prius C is going to be eliminated soon. Who knows, entire line of PRIUS maybe replaced by Corolla.

Maybe they want us to pick the winner while they sharpen the axe?

LOL. You are right. I am sure Toyota won't bring a camry station wagon. But, a rav 4 is on stilts and there are some who still prefer to be lower to the ground and who don't need awd.

I believe the only option is awd for the rav 4 hybrid. It adds further complication and expense to an already technologically advanced vehicle and some people may have no interest in having it. Just my two cents.

I would be surprised if they make a corolla hatchback hybrid as that would closely align with a Prius C. Unless those are going away.
I do like the look of the Corolla hatchback although it is tiny and offers very little benefit of the hatch design. Backseat is basically unusable for my family with two kids, aged: 11 and 8.

I also really don't like the iPad style touch screen on the dash. I think it will look tacky in short order. It just appears flimsy. It was one reason I didn't want the new rav 4 hybrid.

This is true, but it's not true AWD - it's their "Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive (AWD)" which appears to be different than the AWD option offered on the non-hybrid models. Perhaps done with electric motors on the rear wheels as in the Prius. But, you are correct that it adds weight and complexity and not every buyer wants this.
