    $9481 for a new battery. I would just dump it and get another car

    I don't think it's too bad. Similar to the NiMH batteries. It's probably easier, since the ECU won't throw a code until a battery in one of the subpacks is completely dead.

    Retail price is usually double of the cost. It must cost Toyota about $1 per Wh. PiP battery pack is 4.4 kWh.
