After I wrapped up my purchase today. I went back out to the lot to take some pictures. I cant really remember who bought what on the spreadsheet. I only remember iRun26.2's Clearwater Blue. And since he's in Minnesota, I tried to get pictures of all the Clearwater Blue ones.

    A few things I noticed..

The "blue-tinted" headlights are really kind of blue. Not so much it would affect the light output, but if you look at it, you will see it is kind of blue. In the pictures I took, you can kind of tell.

The lower side molding (the chrome strip add-on) says "Plug-in Hybrid" instead of the regular "Prius"

The rear bumper protection says "Plug-in Hybrid" instead of "Prius"

I have 10mp images of all of these pictures. So if anyone wants the full-sized images, PM me and I'll send them to you.

Thanks, greinstein.. Unfortunately, my car is still at the dealer getting leather put in. So I wont have any first-hand impressions until I pick it up (hopefully tomorrow!).

live the extra touches with chrome and blue tinted headlight. The gray looks exceptionally good. No black?

Nope no black. The gray was the darkest color offered. The other 4 colors were light (silver, the light blue, the light green and white.)

Hello, how much did yo have to pay to get leather installed?

Are you doing more than just seats?

Thanks, I am expecting a PPI in about 4 weeks.

It was $1250 + tax through Dianne. The leather covers the front seats, the rear seats, the armrest, and the door panel "inserts". It was $50 more because I went with a 2-tone scheme.

There's quite a bit about aftermarket leather here in the Accessories and Mods forum (search for "katzkin"). The reason I decided to do it now was because Dianne said that if there was any issue, I could just take the car back to Carson Toyota. If you went any where else to get it done, I'm sure there's some level of after-sales support, but I've come to trust Dianne and know she'll be there if I ever need it.

I'm thinking of getting leather too. My PIP is built and waiting to be put on a ship. I would be VERY interested in hearing your thoughts on the new interior. When I went to the car show, the demo I drove had leather. When I went inside and sat in a model with the fabric interior I knew that would be the one thing I didn't like about the base package.

Thanks for any insight you can lend !! Any pics would also be welcome :)

I'll definitely post pictures. There are a few threads in the Accessories and Mods forum with pictures of the aftermarket leather installed. I also found a few YouTube videos when I was looking. It looks pretty good to me, but I will post some more detailed images when I get mine.

I have my leather folks working on 4 cars as of this evening.

And, I found an aftermarket auto-dimm mirror that will also
    auto dim and offer homelink
    upgrade to compass extra $
upgrade to comnpass + temp display extra $

My thoughts, the compass and temp are kinda overkill with this car ... but the homelink might be priceless!

Anyway, we have lots of leather adds happening, and a couple two-tone designs that buyers have chosen that look good!

I'll try and photograph cars with leather adds as they are being delivered.

Aside from the missing "wave" pattern on the perforations on the aftermarket leather and the slightly dfferent design on the front seatback pockets, it looks just like the factory leather and no one would be none the wiser! It appears very well done and a good alternative!

I see in these pictures the cars have the fin antenna. On another picture posted by LurkAzusa on a different thread, it had the more traditional antenna. I assume one is for the standard trim, and another for the advanced? Which one is which?

They're all the same. The ones you see that look like the shark fin antenna are just missing the mast/antenna part. These cars were pretty much just unloaded when I saw them so they had not gone through dealer prep yet.

base is $32,500. and advanced is 40K. 2500 tax credit available on both. pre orders were mostly msrp or $500. off. delivery is around $750. hard to say what they'll be asking for them when they start dribbling into dealerships later this year, supply and demand i spose.

All these Plug-Ins were pre-ordered through Toyota back in November. You'll have to wait until after all the pre-orders are delivered or get on the waiting list at a dealer who is handling the Pre-Orders in case someone turns theirs down.

The chrome accents make the PIP look upscale. Not all the Plug in Prius come standard with LED headlights?

No only the PiP Advanced has LED headlights as well as LED parking lights.

Both the base and Advanced come with LED DRLs.
