Prius Price Increasing by $400 in February

Little off topic, but I have seen big price increases in the motorcycle industry -

example a 2008 Yamaha FZ1 was ~ $9,299, a 2010 FZ1 is ~ $10,299 and it's a carryover model, the same!

~ 10% increase !!

 

In april it was reported that their gross profit was around 300,000 yen per 2010 prius. Since then the price in euros and dollars has gone up, and exchange rates have changed, but still large prius profit. It has not been reported what the allocated net profit is. Toyota is losing money this year because of other models.
