The 2020 Prime owner’s manual states on page 510, “To prevent 12-volt battery discharge do not leave the air conditioning system on longer than necessary when the hybrid system is off” which I assume means in EV mode at a set desired cabin temperature.

Does this apply to the fan, cabin temperature setting, or both? What would be considered excessive use that would compromise the 12-volt battery charge?

    Thank you.

It think it means avoid running the a/c when not in READY Mode.

As stated above, "the hybrid system is off" means the car is not on READY. If you are driving the car regardless of what mode you are on (EV or HV), you can use A/C as much as you want. Of course, high A/C use will reduce the EV range and mpg.

it must be the fan, the rest of the hvac is 200 volts, and runs off the hybrid battery only when ready.
doesn't prime shut off every 20 minutes in acc mode?
