    EV mode for Prime delivers 68 kW. That's 91 horsepower, plenty for ordinary driving, including all but aggressive highway merges.

    The current 38 kW (51 hp) from PHV allows me to merge onto the 55 mph highway uphill just fine on my daily commute home.

    I pulled out hard onto a country road from 0 to 60 in the dealer's test-model Prime a few days ago, effortlessly in EV. No big deal.
