I recently put my $500 downpayment in for a PP and I'd like to know what people's experience is with insurance. I've seen very little discussion on the forum about that, and even then, it degenerated into "you're a bad driver hence your high premium". Due to the many variables involved (driving experience, location, other vehicles on the same policy, US$ vs CAD$ etc, etc), I'd propose to only keep the conversation to % increase or decrease of your premium from your previous vehicle - but please state what you were driving before the PP because that could have a relevance. The absolute $ of the premium aren't even all that important. I'm certainly hoping that the PP won't be too affected by the issues that I've heard about Tesla, namely that due to the lack of information related to the battery pack (Elon won't share anything), any scratch around the bottom of the car - where the batteries are located - will turn the car into an automatic write-off. By the way, where exactly is the traction (High Voltage) battery pack located in the PP? My RAV4 hybrid has it under the rear seat, but that's a much smaller pack.
