She has got the best price anyone has ever got for a 2020 Prius Prime XLE so far; so, they definitely didn't make much money out of her. Perhaps a few hundred dollars is my guess. In fact that dealer was exceptionally honest -- no add-ons included, actual invoice shown to her, some internal dealer savings disclosed, profit margins of other cars discussed, etc. There is no "bs" here whatsoever.

    Congrats and welcome!
To this day I’m still explaining when I run out of battery, the engine kicks on and it acts like a regular hybrid.

Did you tell them you were going to just refi? The finance manager loses their commission if you pay it off within 90 days. My finance guy threw a “scary” empty threat I would have to pay back my rebate money if I paid mine off within 90 days. Just wondering if they would have offered you a better rate otherwise.

Hopefully Lorraine will see your question and answer it as it would be interesting to know, but your post reminded me that buyers need to make sure their finance contract does not include any penalty for prepayment where you if pay it off early it could cost you a lot.

Lorraine, I am puzzled about something. See the banner below. This and all the various Koons websites say that they charge an additional "freight" fee. Dealers normally include the freight fee in their prices; so, this is very strange.

Did they charge you an additional ~ $930 freight fee that you didn't notice? I think you should check your documents. Moreover, their dealer processing fees seem to be higher than other dealers'.

Even with this fee, it would be a fair price but it certainly wouldn't be an exceptional one.

Congrats on the nice price ! It is good to see another person get below $28,000 (before ttl) it makes me more hopeful of getting at least that good of a deal when we are ready to buy later on.

Nah - no additional $930 freight fee charged. I looked.

MD processing fee at $299 was cheap compared to VA at $599 Koons Tysons Toyota for the 2017 Prius Two.

Currently anywhere between $29,000 - $29,500 minus the Toyota customer rebate on the XLE is a good price. Subtract $1,900 for the LE. Add $4,000 for the Limited.

The premium colors (supersonic red and blizzard pearl) will cost you about $400 more than the other colors when you actually buy the car, regardless of which dealer you get it from.

No it won't. Unless you pay MSRP, which obviously no one does for a Prime.

It didn't cost zero to you. If you chose to negotiate, you could have got a nonpremium color for about $400 less than what you paid by pointing out the MSRP/invoice. You did pay for the premium color but you weren't told about it, at least in an open manner.
