More reason for toyota to produce american prii in america. That way when disaster hits another production line is ready to supply japan their cars. I know I know, toyota wants to keep car jobs in japan, but this strategy although good for government relations seems to be bad for business.

I hope the japanese recover quickly from this disaster. It seems minor compared to 2011. but I know people are hurting.

Last time they did this prices and demand spiked a lot. Was hoping supply would increase so prices would drop further.

And my Gen4 due earliest mid-Jun, will now never be delivered.... :(
The problem with Toyota is not just where they produce, but also and more importantly where its suppliers are located, and how many second sources they allow from outside of Japan. Because they don't allow many non-Japanese suppliers, when e.g. a quake hits, it halts their production capabilities really quickly.
Still, thoughts to those who died, lost their dear ones and their homes.
A car is just a car after all.
