    Hello,

The rear switch over the years became melted and disgusting. That combined with a family friend accidentally breaking the rear cover prompted me to replace it as well as other surrounding stuff (license plate lights, the actual switch:
). Weird issue now though. I replaced it and it's not operational. I plugged the original back in and that also is not working.

Did I blow a fuse or there's a sensor somewhere?

Sounds like you've blown the fuse or something I've had this apart extensively on my generation too it's an '09. But on the 10s and 13s we have this is all stayed intact and not broken yet when it's icy out we don't open the trunk immediately till the car is well warmed up just the doors so nobody pulls the plastic plate off and all that stuff that's generally how this happens so we don't do it and we don't go to places where people want to open our hatch like to load things and what have you.

I should mention this is a 2007 Prius, meaning gen 2, meaning wrong section... No idea if someone can move.

    Here are some pictures

Just noticed the backup camera doesn't work...

    Hope it's just a fuse.
