Prius settings

    Hello all new to the forum Just purchases a 2014 II a couple days ago and i cant find the answer to this anywhere what does this do? I apologize if this Has been anserd on another thread [​IMG]

    If you turn it off when you walk up to car it stays locked . Also you have to hold the key to the start button to start it. Leave it on and the car senses the key. Drivers door unlocks and you can leave key in pocket and just press button to start.

    turn it off when you are parking the car for more than a few days.

    Turn this function off if you park the car for some days and want the car stay locked.

    That's the smart key system (electronic key).

    Because the car is looking for the electronic key fob, it can drain the 12V battery. If you're going on vacation, then you can tell the car not to look for the key and turn it off.
