I have a 2005 Prius. I was on my way home and it cut off while driving. And wouldn’t start back up . I didn’t have any warning lights till it died. I had to have it towed to my daughters house does anyone know what it could possible be. I need to get it moved. Because it’s blocking a culdesac but I can’t get it to power on enough to even put it in neutral

This is most frequently caused by the AM2 fuse opening in the underhood fusebox due to the inverter cooling water pump failing electrically.

If so, you can disconnect the pump from the circuit, install the spare 15 amp fuse and be on your way. The car will be drivable as long as you stay under ~40mph so the inverter doesn't get overly hot.

Look at this thread, I have some photos in it to help..

Completely died while driving. 12v good, but no power | PriusChat

Be aware that the outside temperature should be cool as well. Wait until evening or early morning. Trying this at 3:00PM on a 102F day will not result in much range before the warning lights come on.
