Prius to be first Toyota car enabled with Safety Connect service?

    I don't think it does. It's a subscription-based service.

    since onstar is GM ONLY, there is no real competition for the actual service. its not like if you dont like what Toyota offers you can go out and install onstar.

    so whether Toyota even offers it or not (in 5 years ALL cars will have it...so its just the "wake up and smell the coffee" issue. GM offered onstar before anyone else so they have one thing in their corner) as long as its car specific, you make the decision to accept the conditions as soon as you decide what brand of car to buy
