    You worry too much......about the wrong things.
    CHILL until it happens again and then take it in for a proper diagnosis at a Toyota shop.
    Whatever is causing the lights apparently is marginal at the moment and you are getting an "early warning" of impending doom.
    You may, of course, choose to ignore it ......but that really would NOT be a good idea.
    Taking it in when there are NO warning lights on likely wouldn't be a good idea either.

    Just because it "doesn't make sense to you" doesn't mean that it is not real.
    Loss of capacity due to age is only one of MANY possible faults with the HV hybrid battery system.
    Getting a good code read will help sort that out.

    NO. You are giving yourself too much credit here.
    There is NO WAY that you can actually test the hybrid battery yourself.
    If you have no training in the field.....even general electronics.....then you really have no "common sense" to apply to the situation.
    That comment is not meant as an insult but it is trying to help you put things in perspective.

    Do you have any actual training in the field of electricity or electronics ?
    If NOT, then it might entice you to get into something that might be an expensive waste of money or even dangerous.
    When you are sick, do you try and treat your own illness ?? (I mean seriously sick.)

    And.....a crap load of people here, who mostly have VASTLY more knowledge and experience than you do in this subject matter......have been trying to tell you that "your view" is just simply WRONG.

    But you just aren't getting it.

    I don't think you follow what I'm saying Sam. But I do know this. Most of your posts are focusing on ME as in individual, rather than finding a solution to the matter at hand which involves a CAR. Try to get a grip.

    I have no problems with "you as an individual".
    What I am taking issue with is the invalid conclusions that you are coming to, based on incomplete or totally absent information.
    There is a difference.

    I think you probably are a fine person.
    But you need to "get a grip" on your capabilities .......or lack thereof.

If, on the other hand, you would like to work through the problem with me, and share your vast knowledge in the way a true teacher would, then I would be very appreciative and open to learning as much as possible from you. That's why I'm here. But keep something in mind -- you have no idea what capabilities I have, or lack. Let's keep the thread -- and your comments -- about the CAR.
