When I compare the side view of the Prius v to the other Prii models I feel the v definitely has the best lines.

This is mainly due to its longer body and higher rear roofline at the spoiler. Kinda like the difference between a tall nice looking girl compared to a "stubbier" nice looking girl - if i may use that analogy.

Anyone else here get a v over the other Prii partly because of its "lines"?

i got mine mainly because I absolutely cannot stand the ridiculous "flying buttress" console in the hatchback. The ugliest and biggest waste of space I've ever seen.

I got the v primarily because of my distaste for the 'split' rear window on the hatchback (and for the additional cargo room).

Even the salesman I know well at my dealer didn't think much of the look...

It looks like one of those anti-Japanese World War II cartoons with a Japanese soldier showing his big teeth. All it needs now is the big glasses.

Too many cars on the grills look like the lower part of Darth Vader's respirator mask.

I was there. I don't agree. I'll keep my 2012 until the ugly looking grills go away.

The worst one have to be those on the Lexus models.

All this reminds me of the really UGLY styling of the Pontiac Aztek that came out years ago.

Toyota will never understand exterior styling. They still operate on the basis that they sell huge numbers regardless. But The Prius and the new v especially have been given an additional handicap. Instead of looking at the way For integrated their front grill, the new v has this tacked-on Hasbro toy look. I never appreciated the rear end of the hatchback wither, the C looks gorgeous by comparison. The sad part is that it will probably take a few years for their designers to develop a new style, which will not be revolutionary.

2015 Prius v (lowercase v for the Prius v wagon, not an uppercase) looks like Lorax the moment I saw it.

I bought the last '14 they had on the lot, primarily because I don't like the nose on the '15. It isn't as bad as the Camry, but I much prefer the styling on my '14!

If I were buying on external looks alone, the c would be first, the liftback second, and the v slightly in third. I bought the v because of the way the seats fit me, the space inside, and most of all, because of the ride. KBB did a review of the v when it came out, and that review really pushed me to test drive the car.

We love the v's ride, too. Safe to say there is debate on this point.

I would like to seem someone make the rear hatch auto close like the Sienna.

Definitely hear you on the tailgate. Gets very dirty, and it's very hard to close without joining with the dirt. As we were unloading bowling bags last night, someone asked where the cargo light is. Being embarrassed, I simply said it was part of a $5,000 option package that included power seats and a windshield washer, and the dealer couldn't find one anywhere:)

Having said that, most of the changes I'd make to the v are aesthetics, a few trim changes, and definitely the auto tailgate. Today it's headed South with gear for a tournament,99% interstate, about 350 miles round trip.

Is there really ANY Prius that could be considered attractive? I bought it because it gets 50mpg, not for the styling. I have my BMW for that.

Well I have a 2015 Prius Persona, and we just bought a leftover brand new 2014 Prius v three for the wife…. more room than her old rav4 and easily doubles her mpg! We could have made due with out the 4x4 rav4 this winter too, never really had the need for it.

My spousal unit's '95 Tracer wagon was on the way out, and all she wanted was another smallish wagon. But nobody makes any (reliable) little wagons anymore, so we went the small SUV route. I never considered a hybrid because I thought they were all too expensive and she doesn't drive enough to make a big diff in gas usage. But then I saw the Prius v and we went to drive one. It was all over after that! Nice riding, quiet, easy to get into and out of, and about as pricy as the upper end small SUVs. And the carp face is growing on us!

Well, on another car, my wife bought a 2015 Hunday Elantra Limited partially for its nicer styling than the Corolla - and she's owned 2 Corollas before the Elantra.

And then there is the Elantra's great features not found on the Corolla and the best warranties in the business, AND the higher resale value than Corolla. Need I go on?
