    Based upon everything that you wrote, the service department staff is correct. That was the impression which I formed before I even got to that line. The first episode in which you drained the battery probably harmed it beyond salvation.

    Bill, Bill, Bill: buy a new battery, check the air in the tires at least monthly*, and get on with life.

    * the original tires can be run as high as 44/42 PSI front/back measured cold, which will improve fuel economy noticeably.
