PriusChat is unusually slow for me

i was slow all day but fine now.

 

Same here. It did speed up later in the day. I didn't really have too much time to wait on the computer since I just picked my new Prius Four this morning.

Well he had a Four and a IV. I decided to go with the Four. I hope that will tell you what time he opened!

 

The slowness seems to be a time-of-day thing, so I can only assume it's volume-related. Still, the site wasn't doing this a short while ago.

 

It's been slow off and on for me for the last 5 - 6 days during the day. Of course I was downloading the "Internet" at the time. Yeah, ALL of it.

 

It's so slow this morning that I'm going to give up and try again later.

 

Mostly the delays are due to slow access to ads . If it gets stuck, just hit the stop button in your browser and refresh. It will then load a different (hopefully faster) ad.

i have good days and bad days. fast periods of time and slow there's no rhyme or reason and it's not just waiting for one particular page to load.

 

It is slow for me today too, although it varies a lot from click to click.

It was very slow for me today then I noticed it was trying to connect to Twitter. I blocked twitter and it's back up to normal speed.

 

that's interesting, how can you tell? mine has been slow the last couple hours, but better now.

 

In Firefox and Internet Exploder what is loading shows in the bottom left part of the screen. At least it does on my setup. When it was hanging up it was trying to load Twitter.com. Twitter traffic was probably up because Charlie Sheen had a turd in crossways or something else important to the Twits.

 

It's suddenly very slow right now for me and seemingly unrelated to any contextweb.com slowness. There are no apparent high ping times or packet loss between me and priuschat either.

 

The site has been so slow as to be almost unusable for me since Wednesday. I've tried it at home and on a T3 connection and it makes no difference. Multiple browsers on various PC's have no effect either. The Internet Weather report for this area has not shown issues. Other web sites respond with expected response speeds. Just FYI.

 

I have found that the culprit is slow loading ads. When a page is taking too long just cancel the load and then click again. You will get a different ad and it usually loads faster.
