Right now it's trying to load something from apture.com and it never stops trying to load.

Other times I've noticed big slow downs for taglines that show fancy graphics telling me what someone else MPGs are. I might find those interesting if they had no penalty but when they slow down my page loads the next time I'll probably just block them as well.

As I browse PriusChat I find I have to manually watch each page render and then hit the stop loading button on the address bar in Firefox so it'll give up on stupid stuff that will never finish loading.

Since my preferred way to offset this is to load new tabs in the background it defeats the advantage that would normally give.

Priuschat was VERY slow and at time inaccessible, sometimes causing my browser to render blank pages around ~1:50 am to ~2:15 am Pacific on 9/29.

Phew it's not just me then?

I'll take off my fuelly signature as I didn't realise it would slow things down - and I guess you multiply that by many others with similar signatures.

Yes it's been (intermittently) slow for me for the past few days, often even timing out.

I've been wondering if they're having server issues or perhaps even being subject to a DDOS attack.

My money is on the latter. A month or so ago I was getting hit by all sorts of nasty virus's whenever I used Priuschat. Now that's stopped but it is now running slooowww. One wonders where this all originates? GM? Texaco? but more likely some 15 year old fat kid in Nebraska with a chip on his shoulder. :D

Earlier that same night it was unavailable here. The site would load to a blank page: no errors, no wait, just a blank page.

It is working fine now, about 9 hours later.

I had the same issue as Tom with Firefox. I switched to Chrome and it said it could not locate the server. My guess is the server went offline?

I have found PC loads a little quicker now that Firefox 7 is out and updated on my laptop. I'm not sure what changes went into effect with FF7, but I noticed a couple other sites load faster for me now with it.

Sadly, it's so slow that I've had to edit my timeouts, otherwise, I get a 'stopped responding' message. As a result, I don't tend to visit PC as much as I used it.

(Using Firefox) Was hitting connection timed out (IIRC) and connection was reset intermittently at ~3 am Pacific 10/4/11. This type of behavior is pretty unusual for Priuschat.

It was REALLY bad from ~1:05 am Pacific 10/9/11 until ~1:56 am. At some points it was really slow. I even got a database error at one point.

When I tried to edit or reply to some post (I forget which), after MANY minutes, I received a blank page.

It was extremely slow again (for a post I made to go through) from ~1:50 am to 2 am Pacific 10/11/11.

I again got a "Page Not Found" page but w/Priuschat banner at the top in another tab w/another page that was loading.

It was HORRIBLY slow for me again ~2:15 AM Pacific 10/21/2011. I posted something and left for 30 minutes. When I came back, I found it had timed out and the post didn't go through. Same goes w/another page I had trying to load on Priuschat. Things were still quite slow on Priuschat after that.

At least you can log on! Been virtually impossible for me to access the website for the last few days. Amazed it's actually working today.

On several occasions the server has vanished. I don't get a 404 error or anything like that, it's just gone.

Yep, I can recall at least an instance of that in the past week.

I am starting to lose posts, where the page times out while posting. It isn't consistent, but it doesn't take many of those before it isn't worth posting.

As a precaution, esp. if the site gets slow, I tend to copy and paste my post into notepad before submitting.
