PriusChat is very slow today

They're probably Hummer owners throwing around their excess weight where it's not wanted :guns:

 

Looks like some major problems. I am getting handfulls of error messages.
E.G.
Could not delete old search id sessions

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 2006 MySQL server has gone away

and
Could not delete Server Load entries

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 1016 Can't open file: 'phpbb_serverload.MYD'. (errno: 145)

DELETE FROM phpbb_serverload WHERE time < 1104451131

message_die() was called multiple times. This isn't supposed to happen. Was message_die() used in page_tail.php?

Basically unusable at the moment.

 

Very slow for me too and unable to use the view post since last visit function, I just get a page full of letters and number after waiting for ever

Could it be a targeted attack, or something random? I wold hate to think that someone has a need to attack this site.

 

I see that Danny has upgraded the phpBB software to version 2.0.11. This is expected to make the site immune to the Santy worm family of malware.

The attacks were the result of some unknown person releasing a worm that was exploiting a security hole in older versions of phpBB.

Get this error message on searching, too

I'm getting a similar error whenever I try to use the Search function this afternoon. (I was going to try to start catching up on 2 months of PriusChat articles I've been missing.)

So Search appears to be unusable at this time. (At least for moi.)

 

Danny:

One thing you might try is going into your /etc/php.ini file and increasing the memory_limit value. I think the default is either 8 or 16 M. I have mine set at 64M and it works OK.
