    i have lived in several different towns. but it's always the same thing, especially in small communities. the toenies run everything, there friends vote them in, they control the police, fire, dpw, school board, etc. they load up town meeting and keep the other residents from voting. i'm not pointing fingers, just the way i see politics. the 'wrong' people making decisions is in the eye of the beholder. a famous mass pol once said ' all politics is local' tip o'neill i believe. one of the great insiders.

    run for office? good luck. you have to have connections to get elected. who are you gonna pay off when you get in?
