Problem: Prius is saying handbrake is on while it isn't

    After draining the brake fluid on my 2007 Toyota Prius and putting new brake fluid, the car keeps beeping without stopping until I turn off the car. I have the VSC light on the dash, ABS and the (!) light which I don't know what it means. The car also says the handbrake is on when I turn it off.

    IF......you don't know what ABS is, you have no business doing any work on the brake system in a car.

    Part of replacing the fluid is "bleeding" the air out of the system.
    With an ABS system, that can be a fairly complicated proceedure.

    NOW you need to see a shop to finish the process correctly.

    P.S. Are you sure you used the right type of brake fluid ?
    How do you intend to dispose of the old fluid that you took out ??
