hi all. i have a 2003 Prius and I purchased a 6-CD Changer for the car, and when i took it to the local stereo installer they said that the cd player won't work in my car. the cd changer came with the "y"-adapter but according to the installer it was too big for the plugs of my stereo unit. any idea what i need to do or can do?

I also have a 2003. I installed a 6 CD changer after the cassette player conked out. But, I was able to find a changer at a local "auto recycling" yard. When they took the unit out of the junked 2003, I asked them to be sure and include the Y-adapter cable, which they did. The proper adapter cable is no longer available from Toyota. Your only hope may be to find a local junkyard that has a classic Prius with the CD changer. Good luck!
