Pulled over for "high-beam"

If you have an 07 it has a mechanical head light leveler, I'm guessing yours is rusted and the lights are permanently aimed to high, or

• Make sure the bulb is properly positioned. The bar is supposed to be pointed downward.

You didn't install the bulbs properly, upside down to be exact, the wattage isn't listed, are they 100wats? =illegal

 

might be that your headlights need to be adjusted. any inspection shop should have a headlight aiming unit. takes about 5 minutes.

 

You could always put back the legal headlights. It is illegal to sell HIDs for public roads in the US on any car not factory installed with HIDs.

 

If it has the auto levelers, then it came with HIDs.

 

When I bought my 2007, people would flash their high beams at me all of the time. So I used the mechanical adjustment and brought them down.

Now, 2 years later it's happening again. I notice they are aimed high and people are starting to flicker their high beams at me again.

I tested my leveling system and it works.
To the OP: just aim them lower. I did and they are moooore than bright enough that you don't notice a difference but then it no longer appears that you have your high beams on.
