I have grown to love how they look. I guess I want efficiency and good looks. A small sacrifice. I’m not quite as serious about saving energy as I thought.

When I drive, though, I’m back to my old driving habits of driving for efficiency. Now that I have a car that can report EV efficiency directly, I’m trying to do my best there (as I used to be for gas mileage).

What do you guys have your tire pressures set at? In the app, mine measure 44psi in the back and 45psi and 46psi in the front. That seems rather high, doesn’t it?

I went out for an EV drive tonight (just for the sake of measuring efficiency). I drove on roads with about 55mph speed limits yet with many stop lights (1/4 mile apart). Overall, without the a/c on, I got about 5.0 miles/kWh. I know I could have done better if it weren’t for those stupid stop lights. When the upcoming light was red, I tried to coast in to maintain kinetic energy.

As expected, this isn’t as good as other people have reported. I guess that’s the penalty for buying the upper trim with all of the bells and whistles.

I’ll be taking the first trip to work tomorrow when the stop lights are further part (but with higher speeds of 65mph…I may not drive that fast, tgough).

That is a tad bit high but OK. I use 43 psi front and 42 psi rear in my Gen 4 PHEV, which is I think just about optimal for fuel economy and tire wear 51-psi tires. I have accumulated zero tire wear in 50,000 miles on my Dunlop Enasave 01 A/S 91S OEM tires.
