I bought my prime in March and I love it. I charge overnight, and until recently my range indicator would read 31.9. in the last few weeks that number is going down. Now it's at 25.2. Anyone know why my starting range is decreasing?

Probably because it's getting colder. Is happening to me too.

If you're driving the same way, over the same roads, the very cold weather will reduce your EV range. Are you using the heater? That will impact mileage. I'm in Southern California, so our boring-hot weather lets us get continual good EV range, as long as we're able to navigate the High Speed Animals on the road!!

My mileage drops when the temps drop.

    It's getting colder.
Check your tire pressure, that will also drop with the cold.

the range indicator is based on a formula of past usage and the state of battery charge. it is not a guarantee of how far the car will go in ev, but usually a pretty good estimate unless other factors change such as; hills, speed, weather, acceleration, hvac usage, tires pressure and etc.

if nothing has changed, see your dealer before the warranty runs out.

Most everyone knows “winter blend gasoline” reduces your MPG. I wonder what effect Winter electricity blend has on economy? :)
