    All,

Thought I saw a thread somewhere saying that average MPG per tank is automatically reset anytime you fill up with more than about 4 gallons. But the owner's manual PDF I've been reading for the C seems to indicate that this is manually done by resetting one of the tripmeters.

What is actually the correct method?

Reset manually, the older Prius did it automatically, new ones we need to do.

    There are three Trip settings.

Trip A and Trip B, which must be manually reset as needed by holding down the button on the steering wheel, and ODO, which shows your accumulated miles from new, but shows your MPG for the current trip only. The average MPG reading in the ODO mode calculates only until you turn the car off. Then it resets and starts over.
