Question: Windshield replacement (Safelite blue stripe vs plain green)

I’m on the safelight site and there are two options for an 06 model: one has a blue stripe and the other looks clear. Both have dark stuff around the edges.

Q: Anybody used the blue stripe model? What are your thoughts after driving it? I asked Safelite and their answer was “There are a lot of different windshields for that car (whaaaat?) If you have a blue stripe one, we install another one, if you have the green one…” But if I order it online I can get either…and there’s a $60 coupon online.

Q: Are the dark edges identical to OEM otherwise (with the dots around top/mirror), or are they solid painted black?

I know I can get the 2nd answer by calling Safelite, but as long as I’m here already…
