As Stev0 explains to the educationally challenged, my vote made no difference and could not possibly have made any difference. I lived in North Dakota at the time, a state guaranteed to vote for Bush by a large majority, and therefore to give Bush all three of its electoral college votes. Presidential elections in the U.S. are a sham.

Ah, now your own argument falls apart, because in Steve's state, the ticket you regard as the lesser of evils was GUARANTEED to win, even without Stev0's vote, and in my state, that same ticket didn't have a chance in hell, so my vote made no difference.

Aim your arguments at people in states where the outcome is not guaranteed in advance! Or do you really not understand how the electoral college system works in presidential elections??? Unless you live in a swing state, your vote is absolutely and utterly irrelevant.

And some of us do not regard the Democrats as the lesser evil. I regard both parties as very nearly equally evil. (I have voted for Democrats, Republicans, Greens, Socialists, and Communists, as well as independent protest candidates, depending on the circumstances and the individual candidates.)
