Well the tank is bigger than 44lt
I filled it today just under 49lt so I'm guessing 50lt total.
    Got 1260km from today's tank.

It's officially rated at 45 litres. There were Japanese owners that managed to fill 60 litres into the Gen 2. (they tilted the car as they refuelled). Seems odd that one can squeeze an extra 15 litres over the rated value. 4 litres like you did seem reasonable. (There's also the fuel filler pipe that can add a two to three litres and I guess elsewhere... somehow).

Wow! Are you saying you managed to get the equivalent of 787.5 Imperial UK miles from one tank of fuel in a pre-2006 Gen 2 Prius?

Please tell how you accomplished that.

Most of what I could get in is the 45 liters. But I have never run out of fuel. How many liters you have left when the add fuel warning goes and fuel bar starts blinking?

1260km with 49l is 3.89l/100km or 72.6 UK MPG or 60.5 US MPG. You can achieve that pretty easily under good conditions.

I got about that or a bit better on every tank through this summer by just not using a lot of AC, sometimes using pulse&glide drive tactic, and not driving that much on high speed highways (or driving them at the same speed as trucks do).

I have the 2 Eco and have averaged 62mpg over the last 6 months. I normally fill up conveniently in the high 500s but sometimes will let it go over 600 miles when I don't notice the gauge, there's plenty of gas stations, or I'm having fun watching it

Yes. The new Prius has better fuel economy but old Prius still has good fuel economy as well. And you can get the old one for the fraction of the prize of new the new one.

An M1 Abrams Tank gets about 0.6 mpg, with a fuel tank of 500 gallons, resulting in a maximum range of about 300 miles, which is excellent considering.

...oh wait, didn't read the title correctly. Carry on. :D

I refill once a week when it gets down to two bars. I drive 32 miles each way 26 being on the interstate with speeds of 30 in traffic up to 90. I also put 100ish in town on the weekends in that tank. I have never figured it but the computer screen moves between 49.9 and 50.1 now that it is cool. (Low 30's on my drive to work and 70's on way home.

I'd think that either the Abrams or the Prius would be the best vehicle depending on your objective. Everything else is a compromise. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Here’s me arriving at work after my morning commute, with 557 miles at 62.8mpg with one bar of fuel left in the tank. Made it 17 miles back to my local fuel station, before refuelling, making it 574 miles (@ 63mpg) out of about 43 litres of fuel. Could have made 600 miles....but wasn’t worth the risk of running out

How can i know that my fuel will give me how much kilometer or in other words how much kilometer for the left petrol in my tank. Like in some cars when you press the trip button it shows how much kilometer or miles you can drive on the given petrol. Prius 2007

    Experience.

Keep track of your own MPG or km/liter or liters/100km in your particular environment. Keep track of how much fuel is needed for refills at particular fuel gauge points, this should also tell you how much was left at those gauge points. Compute from there.

This will give you better estimates than do the Distance To Empty displays on newer cars. And be thankful that you don't have an American model of that vintage, with its problematic fuel tank bladder.

Based upon memory from earlier discussions, I believe the DTE display first appeared in North American models in 2010, which was also my first Prius.

Not on your 2007. It was introduced for the 3rd generation Prius (2009 or 2010 depending on country). Your 2007 is a 2nd generation Prius.

The distance-to-empty display is telling you nothing more than what's already shown by the gas gauge. But it is more fascinating. :)

And the DTE looks like it knows what it's talking about ... even though it doesn't. :D

I wasn't going to trot this out, but just can't resist:

Sling Blade is such a great movie, btw. I try but fail to see Billy Bob Thornton in the above, which is testament to a great actor I guess.
