I have the same problem. I used Maxcel, Panasonic and Renata battery but both of the FOB remotes drain battery in 2-3 days. I've cleaned the remotes by spry but the problem has not removed. Do you find any solution or even the reason of the problem?
    Thanks

Been having the same issue with my 2010 Prius. Bought car brand new in 2011 and have never had this issue, both fobs are affected. I have replaced the battery a dozen times...I keep spares everywhere.

Anyone come across a reason or solution yet?

Yeah - I bought a 2017 Three Touring in August 2017. No problems since... ;)

I like that philosophy- remote fob battery draining too fast? permanent fix, just buy a new car.

Replaced the original(?) fob battery in 2017, not since.

Bought a new fob for $300...cheaper than a new car, we’ll see if it holds out.

Late for this thread but I had the same problem with my fob which was stored nightly near my computer and iphone. My wife's fob was in her purse near her iphone but not computer. We both use the same batteries bought at the same time. Hers seemed to last for years, mine a few months. I started putting mine in a faraday bag and never had a problem again. No longer own the car, a 2012 vi, great car but went for something with more modern safety features, a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe Ultimate. My fob is kept in the faraday bag.
