I have a 2005 Gen II with the JBL system. The previous owner replaced the stock radio with an aftermarket Kenwood HU which is fairly new. Last week while driving, the rear speakers started to go on and off for the whole 30min drive. The next time I drove the car, the rear speakers were completely off. I have since taken apart the dash to investigate the problem. The HU is putting out sound through both front and rear RCA outputs (tested by swapping from front to rear) and there are no loose connections. Since the JBL system requires an interface, the previous installer used a Scosche TA07-SRC to connect the aftermarket HU. I am not sure if it is worth buying a new ($50) interface to replace the old one or if there might be a problem with the JBL system amp. Any suggestions please.
