Rear Trunk Spoiler

    Managed to get a company in Taiwan who are on eBay to custom make me a rear trunk spoiler and ship it already sprayed in Blizzard Pearl.

    They measured a Prius their end and to be honest for the ridiculously cheap price they charged me for it it is a complete bargain!

    You need to use a hair dryer on it as it isn't the correct shape but as its made of rubber it bent no problem even with the paint on it once it was warm. It sticks on with 3M that is already attached to the spoiler.

    I wanted it the same colour as the car so then you could emphasis the OEM rear spoiler as it gets lost as its black and just blends into the back windows.

    I got it for what I am guessing is a reduced price as I enquired if they would make me one and then I would post on PriusChat as I told them I'd expect others to buy.

    Just email and ask is best. Probably the sooner people order the cheaper maybe as they then I'm guessing will as to their product list on eBay.

    That's a nice looking spoiler. Yeah, I agree getting it color-keyed in black wouldn't make much of a difference. Jay J had a much bigger spoiler (that he stuck on just to get the 2nd place at Toyotafest :sneaky: ), which might be a better option for those of you with blacked-out roof or if you've painted the factory spoiler in your car's color.

    I wanted something that would emphasis the stock rear spoiler, and this does that for sure.

    But yes, it's a spoiler on a spoiler.

    $60 bucks, painted and free shipping couldnt resist purchased. Heres the link for those interested. My only concern is that since he had to head the edges for the contour of the factory spoiler, is that in the heat it doesnt unstick.

    You have to do a LOT if heating with the hair dryer and a LOT of bending, but it seems to work!

    It is a Toyota Bodykit, the same bodykit front and side skirts you get in USA with the Prius Plus Kit plus these ones for the rear that are from the Japanese market. http://bit.ly/117ZSLy

    I have a special edition model called 10th Anniversary edition. It is to celebrate 10 years of the prius here in the UK. 1000 were made and were basically top of the range model with embossed leather black seats, tinted windows, bodykit and special 17" rims.

    He actually went out and measured a Prius himself so had the correct length. He said they are designed to bend even painted if you heat them, and it all seems to work so.........
