receiving messages via the entune app

hello all...I am not able to receive message notifications and or have them read to me and reply via voice,,, I am currently using an Iphone 12 ...no problems connecting or making/receiving calls .

I have removed added both my phone from the vehicle as well I am thinking it is just not going to work..

I have the JBL 11.6 inch unit that does not have apple car play. i have the Entune app on the phone as well which to me does not seem to do much. any ideas for me
