Well, you can never have too much data! …sounds like another corollary to my three rules for Living The Perfect Life:
    (1) You can never be too thin!
    (2) You can never be too rich!
    (3) You can never have too many cats!

    What’s your limit for #3:eek:.

I know you said no limit, but since they have 9 lives, that’s a big mozzarella ball (y)

Here in the NE we're currently under a "Winter Storm Watch" through Monday afternoon, roads are like skating-rinks, mixed precip at moment, ChuggyPig not needed for the duration, so he's tucked up snug in garage, maint. charger on AuxBat, and one of @jeff652 's Prolong Chargers providing a load for PSNH. Nice way to end the year!

I volunteer at a local kitty shelter (Kitty Angels) Kitty Angels - No-kill cat shelter for NH and MA My two cell-mates are both KA kitties, but with all those in foster-homes and at the local PetSmart where KA have a store-front, the numbers can be anything from 2 to 200 o_O

Doncha just love New England! Some friends who lived in Pepperell (Mass) until last year when they sold up and moved West. They are now spending their second winter in Southern California having sworn that the winter of 2015 was the last straw. They're loving it out there! (…just gotta be careful when you're playing with matches!) I love New England, the X-C skiing is better than in So. Cal.

We have downhill skiing and snowboarding in the summer too.

    Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre

I don’t think we will have a white Christmas this year.

I think So. Cal's Christmas is most likely to be a sort of a sooty, ash-grey this year! (…ooops!)

Looks like I'm down for the count for Christmas. Cold, fever, vicious cough, etc., etc. I'll get some feedback on the Prius from the rest of the family and I'll run up on the high desert when I'm up to it. Here's to all of you staying healthy and safe.

Oh well! The best laid plans of mice & man etc. etc.…
Due to Emergency call (from KA) the car will be needed this afternoon, so 21 hours into the First Charge, we have 245V and 358mA on the meter, and just driving the car over from the garage, noted an SoC of 81% - so all looking good, and we'll start all over again tonight just before the snow starts! :)

    Here's the quick version of how the conditioning went;
    1. Charge to 240v - 26 hours
    2. Discharge to 134v - 4.5 hours
    3. Charge to 242v - 26 hours
    4. Discharge to 84v - 5.5 hours
    5. Charge to 242v - 40 hours
    6. Discharge to 17v - 6 hours
    7. Charge to 242v - 36 hours

Total elapsed time = 144 hours (6 days)

Looking at the log, I think when I do this again in June I'm going to go longer to 40 hours on all of the charges. There's probably a fair chance I might be able to break loose a little more crystallization and bump capacity to 243v or 244v.

That's looking great! (…you should see a great improvement in the SoC) I just did a round trip of around 50 miles, and following the first long, soaker charge (see message #492) I noticed during the trip that the SoC was spending more time in the low 70% range, something I've not seen much recently. With the next snow-storm due this evening, I'll be starting the full recondition later this evening! :)

Just started the last one for this year (2nd attempt) about an hour ago, 224V, 356mA. Have a Merry Christmas, everybody! :)

Well, uninterrupted so far (touch wood! (n) (take no notice of the thumb!)) 24 hours, 247V and 356mA. I think I'll give it another 6 hours…

Thanks, of all the charges I've done in the past 2½ years, 247V has been the highest I've seen so far, and also this has been the longest charge to date! (…soaking is good! ;))

I’ll remember this around Memorial Day when I give ours a go;).

And of course post the results (y).
