I haven't been in weather that cold since I spent the winter in Chicago ten years ago.

Out here we're in another dry, warm spell. The low was 53* last night and the high will be in the mid 80s today. The drought is back too. Since the beginning of October we've had a whopping 0.1 inch of rain.

You people be careful. When it comes to weather, your situation is a lot more dangerous than mine.

    …and for those pedants:
Dschrg to 17V ~ 7 hours (I started checking around 6:45, and the meter was at 60V, and dropped at 10V every 6 mins or so, and I was able to hit the 17V on the nail)
…and so to final LongSoaker! :)

…and I thought as I looked around at all the moth-balls on the floor of the garage (see threads passim) how almost appropriate (temp in garage was at 22 deg F  )

After all that charging, the battery will be used to being warm. Do not forget to put a fur coat on the car before venturing outside. ;):oops:o_O:cautious:

…interesting you mention the warm battery, I listened hard to the fan and it was most definitely changing speed as the charging started up - sounded just like it was shifting up through the gears! Almost drowned out by the fans on the IntelDischarger, but the fan on the charger is larger and very quiet by comparism!

Beautiful blue sky here, but the snow is just perfect for X-Country skiing, and the snow squeaks when you walk in it! …and little (<20%) humidity at the moment!

If I wished, I could go skiing here in the summer, but long sleeves & long legged pants are needed. I understand the "rug burn" of the "snow" is a real pain.

Nice picture! I bet the only squeaks heard there are from the skiers as they get "rug burn" ;)

Just got back from my son's. The car was definitely a little stronger up Cajon Pass and the battery stayed where it's supposed to (top blue, bottom green bar) almost the entire trip. It was definitely a lot smoother and the ICE wasn't working nearly as much as it was a few weeks ago. I can't point too much of the improved mileage at the batteries, though, because traffic was a little unusual and at 55-57 mph instead of the normal 65-68 mph on highway 395 much of the time. But, for a car that normally gets 44 mpg on this round trip it did get 48 this time.
