    Hello all,

I am driving a 2004 Prius at 245K miles. It drives fine, but during the past few days the red triangle has been flashing randomly every so often while I am driving. Its unfortunate timing because I am actually about to sell the Prius. With that said, I ideally don't want to put any money into it before selling, but any tips on how I can cheaply diagnose the issue and get the light turned off would be appreciated!

    Many thanks,

    check the oil

if it's okay, you can get a cheap tech stream diagnostic software on amazon if you have a compatible laptop.

if it is the hybrid battery, you can replace the bad cells cheaply, and just tell potential buyers they'll soon need a new one.
