On my 2007 Prius I always wanted to know which Level of Regen I was getting, based on the pressure on the brake pedal, and when the Mechanical Braking was happening.

Coastaletech.com planned and displayed a light-tower, but then dropped the product. I wrote to Toyota to consider adding the feature to a future Prius.

Is there ANY indication in the Plug-In Prius of how much Regen you're getting from braking and when Mechanical Braking starts?

You could get a ScanGauge II and enter the Xgauge parameters for MG1 and MG2 so you could see the output of the motor generators.

Your could also use the Android Torque app on either a phone or tablet to monitor MG1 and MG2.

Doesn't the HSI display do that?

Oh, you have a 2007. Sorry, I didn't notice that. They added it in the 2010 model.
