    what i meant was, the battery is worse for the enviornment than the exhaust gas emitted during the warmup. What dick_larimore said about carbon monoxide is the lesser of my worries for the enviornment. Honestly, I bought this car to save gas, not to save the environment. The carbon monoxide from cars is not so much of the cause of our ozone depletion but rather factory wastes and other bigger issues.

    i'm definitly in favor of remote starters and block heaters. not only it saves gas, but also better for the engine in the long run
