Remove logo piece from hubcaps?

Anyone done this? Looks easy, but I'm terribly afraid I'm gonna break something here. The logo portion of the hubcaps has a tab that goes through to the back, and it's clear when you push it that the logo portion is a separate piece. There are two more tabs on the back, however, and they seem extremely tight, like maybe they'll break if forced. I don't want to find out the hard way.

I'm after getting them out to paint over with plasti dip and/or something besides a logo. I hate being a mobile advertisement! Not, of course, that anyone will be fooled into not noticing what kind of car this is.
