Replace stock Map Light Bulbs for LED - 2016 Prius 4 Touring

    Anyone know how to remove the plastic cover carefully from the center/overhead map lights?

    I'd like to replace the stock bulbs (which are very dim IMO) with brighter LED versions.

    I don't want to break the clear cover, or mar the headliner, so any advice or a YouTube video would be awesome!

    Put a piece of tissue over the flatblade screwdriver. You'll have to balance between having the tissue thin enough to access the plastic but not too thin such that the screwdriver pokes through, defeating the purpose of the tissue.

    I have a few scars on the maplight plastic area :( but it's not really noticeable.

    I suggest buy some plastic pry tools. There are some on Amazon that are cheap but work well. They are primarily for removing door and dash panels but I used them tonight to change my map lights, dome light, cargo area light, and door lights for LEDs. Work slowly and carefully.[​IMG]
