replaced 3way valve no bleeding tools will this work...

    Ok,
    Replaced the 3way valve the clamps from harbor fright didn't work great lost some fluid. Been filling up the radiator putting cap on starting car turning heater on max after engine goes out then letting it run for min or two turn off wait open radiator fill up and squeeze upper rad hose too will this be suffice to bleed the system cause It's dark and we'll that used to be the tried and true method and I dun have a bleeder attachment.
