My license plate lights were out so I removed the hatch panel, replaced the bulbs, and reinstalled the panel. I had to remove the panel again because one of the lights still wasn't working (turns out I had replaced LEDs with incandescents), and when I did I saw that I had broken the little blue box which had been hanging loose, labeled wiper control Toyota ABS Denso -- see pictures. I don't think the electronics were damaged and the rear wiper still works. How is this supposed to be attached? Does it matter if it isn't firmly attached?

If it is still working then I would simply tape it up with electrical tape and then either tape it, or cable tie it, firmly to the adjacent plastic cable conduit.
