So I am working on a friends car for free so I can learn about rebuilding these batteries (I think in my area it could be a lucrative side business).

It is an 05 Prius, and is my friend's 3rd vehicle, so it is not crucial to get it right the first time.

I want to replace individual modules initially, then drive/check it, then balance them - I currently have a 1 B6AC charger, but I want to learn all about trial and error on this process so I am not planning on using it yet (and I want to order several more because a B6AC can only do 1 module at a time right?)

Being a secondary vehicle, it has been driven and has just been started up to be moved around the garage a few times of the past few months, and the voltages below are a resting charge. Should I do a load charge test also?

Modules 20 & 23 are obviously suspect at 6.29v, but should I also replace the #9 that is @ 7.31? (dealership reading the computer said 2 cells were bad)

    Modules:
    1 - 7.49
    2 - 7.54
    3 - 7.50
    4 - 7.53
    5 - 7.64
    6 - 7.57
    7 - 7.54
    8 - 7.52
    9 - 7.31
    10 - 7.46
    11 - 7.57
    12 - 7.55
    13 - 7.53
    14 - 7.55
    15 - 7.53
    16 - 7.47
    17 - 7.55
    18 - 7.55
    19 - 7.54
    20 - 6.29
    21 - 7.56
    22 - 7.50
    23 - 6.29
    24 - 7.55
    25 - 7.49
    26 - 7.55
    27 - 7.55
    28 - 7.54

Also, are there any members here on the forum that sell quality refurbished modules? Or can somebody direct me to an ebay seller that has been vouched for?

I've got some spares and a Hitec x4-80 I'll sell. The spares have been charged in the past and I'll load test them. The charger will do 4 at a time. Message me if you're interested. By the way, I'd probably load test #9 along with 2 or 3 more to compare it to. If you're wanting to play with it, run it if it load tests OK. If it drops considerably more, pitch it.

Cool thanks. I may take 2 of those cells you have. How much do you want for them? How much for the charger?

Also what is entailed in a load charge? Can I do a load charge with the B6AC?

You should balance the whole battery pack. I think the easiest way is to slowly overcharge the whole battery pack. It will bring every module (and every cell in it) to 100% SOC.

    Thanks for the info guys!

Can I grid charge with this B6AC I have? I thought I need one of those $500 grid chargers to do that?
